United Nations Day – October 24

Established in 1948, United Nations Day marks the anniversary of the UN Charter coming into force. The founding document was signed in 1945 and resulted in the formation of the United Nations. The UN was founded in efforts to bring peace, human rights and development to humanity across the globe. To mark the 75^th anniversary in 2020, ‘UN75’ will be launching, “the biggest, most inclusive global conversation on the role of global cooperation in building a better future for all’.
