What is global education?
Global education teaches students the values, skills, attitudes and knowledge which will enable them to be aware and empowered global citizens of the future, able to work for a peaceful, just and sustainable world for all.
"Global Education is a process that helps students participate effectively in the development of a better world for all" Calder and Smith 1991.
Global Education has six broad themes: globalization and interdependence, identity and cultural diversity, dimensions of change, social justice and human rights, peace building and conflict and sustainable futures.
