We can help with:
- teaching ideas linked to the WA Curriculum Framework
- a flexible approach to providing Professional Development(PD)
- display kits, books, discovery boxes, DVDs and other resources to borrow
- an online library catalogue
- free courier systems to bring resources to you and return them to the OWC. (DET schools and a limited service to Catholic schools)

Thinking Globally
March 2nd
This workshop will be based on “Thinking Globally”, an Australian resource designed to help teachers bring a global perspective to their early years classroom. It offers 130 pages of great ideas for early childhood teachers. All who attend will receive a copy of the book.
In this workshop, participants will:
- Consider why we should include help young children to become active global citizens
- Take part in engaging activities suitable for classroom use
- Explore the many other resources the One World Centre has available to support early childhood teachers
When: Tuesday, March 2nd, 4:00pm – 6:00pm
Where: One World Centre, 5 King William St, Bayswater, WA, 6053
Who: Early childhood teachers and student teachers
Cost: $35 for OWC members and students, $45 for non-members
Registrations must be made before Tuesday 23rd February.

Global Issues in Geography
March 3nd
This workshop will be suitable for all teachers of Geography, and will cover themes relating to hazard management, sustainable development, urban planning and climate change.
In this workshop, participants will:
- Explore the principles of global education and opportunities for learning about global issues across units 2&3
- Consider some of the potential pitfalls when learning about other countries/cultures
- Discover case studies that tell powerful stories of active citizenship
- Explore real data mapping techniques that reveal underlying values and social issues
- Participate in engaging learning activities and receive classroom resources
When: Wednesday, March 3, 4 – 6pm
Where: One World Centre, 5 King William St, Bayswater, WA, 6053
Who: Upper and lower secondary Geography teachers
Cost: $20 for OWC members and students, $30 for non-members
Registrations must be made before Wednesday 24th February.
